  Water and Fishing Conditions

Water Level is:

 9:00 A.M. Oakdale Discharge 2790 cfs.Water looks great. More of the rock pile below the dam is now showing .Water is back in its banks now.

Fish on the bite are:

Several Buffalo, Spearback Suckers,Drum, and Suckers have been caught . Also seen a white bass caught. Had a 31" Musky caught late evening 01-01-09 One walleye and a white bass caught early a.m.. 01-03-09

About and hour ago I seen one fisherman hook about a four foot Musky,  it got airborne and tossed the jig. Just prior to that something had tried to eat one of the ducks in the ditch. Before he hooked that Musky a lot of junk fish were being caught but a little while after that, there was not a fish to be found so I came in to do this. 01-04-09 1:22p.m.

I hooked a large Musky about 3:00p.m. today, got airborne and tossed my jig also. 01-05-09, was not as big as the one I saw on the 4th.

Lures / Baits used:
Walleye on jigs and minnow shape baits, White bass on jig and bobber, Bluegill on bee moth, catfish cut bait.
Hot Colors:
Various Color Hair Jigs and Twister tail and minnow shape plastics.- Shad Color and firetiger minnow baits.
Hint: Be nice to our resident Caretaker and he’ll point you in the
right direction to catch fish.
